Bagaholicboy Muses #94 - And The Queue Went On And On...

Had a full day in town yesterday, we started out at noon with lunch at Basilico, and caught Transformers in the evening. In between the buffet and the movie, there was some shopping but not at Louis Vuitton ION Orchard (hello Celine!).

By the time the movie ended it was already almost closing time at Louis Vuitton, so we figured we would come down on a weekday instead.

We did try to take a look after lunch, but if you look closely you can see the queue. Yes Singaporeans queue for almost everything (including designer goods). Apparently the queues have been going on since Friday, though many just wanted to see for themselves what the fuss was all about.

To the boutique's left is the gigantic Prada billboard. Trust me when I say this, the exterior is truly massive and awe-inspiring. ION Orchard is going to be huge, and I already see myself spending a whole day (or 3) there once it fully opens.

Not wanting to lose out, other malls along Orchard Road are doing renovations/expansions of their own to up the ante. Paragon, The Heeren, Mandarin Gallery are all upgrading as I type this post. 2 more new malls are slated to open as well in the near future, Knightsbridge and 313 Somerset, which is certainly exciting. Can't hardly wait!

That's gonna be very harsh for our wallets or bank(s) once every mall is fully furnished/built. =P

That's so true too Jeron. But we all got to do our bit for the local economy don't you think?

Oh, I had a full day in town with Transformers thrown into the day as well. Sigh, I wanted to check out LV Ion but I had anything with crowds so I anticipate that I'd probably be visiting Ion only a month or so after its opening.
