The images just came in and I still need some time to sort them out, but I can tell you this. Up close these babies are really rather gorgeous with lots and lots of detailing. Here's a teaser of the Monogram Eclipse Alma in Ombre, from the upcoming Louis Vuitton Monogram Eclipse collection.
And here's the full shot of the Monogram Eclipse Alma in Ombre. I know you can't see much, but I'm sure you figured out by now that those shiny bits are actually sequins that were painstakingly sewn on, which also explains why it costs USD2470.
Available in 2 colourways, here is the other Monogram Eclipse Alma in Noir, with the only real difference in the colour of the sequins being used.
The Louis Vuitton Monogram Eclipse Mini-Pochette Accessoires (USD945) is perhaps the cutest of the lot, with the sequins in Gold. It may be tiny but it still looks pretty good, even though it comes with the same oversized oval plaque as seen on the Alma. i think they're fantastic. they're not irregular, the whole shape is sequined. they are just almost transparent.
Oh no by irregular I meant the sequins ain't perfect, I was looking at the high-res images, some of them had missing sequins in some places...
How big is the Alma? Is it the size of the normal monogram alma or Alma vernis mm?
i meant they're all there. no gaps, none missing. but because they're almost transparent, certain angles make them disappear.

heya bagaholicboy! I just came back from Asnieres and saw these monogram eclipse mini pochettes being made! I actually saw the canvas before they were stitched into bags. The whole sheet of monogram eclipse canvas (with sequins already) gets cut. It's not like the canvas was pre-cut and the sequins got stitched. So parts of the sequins fall off after they get cut by the machine. I presume the sequins get reattached or restitched (I didn't see them doing this though). I'm not quite sure how secure the sequins are. They are stitched with very thin thread so they might be very delicate. Bags made of this are probably not meant for daily wear and tear.
