Correct me if I am wrong, but I do have a feeling that these bags featured in the Fall-Winter 2008 Womens Gucci ad campaign will be duds. I am not saying this because I am not too fond of Gucci in general as you all know. This however is beginning to change, I did acquire a Gucci Guccioli Charm and a bag recently (reveal to come soon), I just have an issue with these bags.
Seeing how Asians are more petite, I can't picture any girl less than 1.7 m tall lugging them around, which rules out 3/4 of the local female population. And when it comes down to details, there are loads of them. Too much in fact. Studs everywhere. Check. Thick long tassels. Check. Sure the bags are interesting with unique twists and it's following this 'romancing the free-spirited gypsy' concept, but I just don't think it works. But that's just my personal opinion.

I've just discovered your blog and I love it! I don't say this lightly because bagblogs are chock-a-block but impeccable taste is rare and should be celebrated. You're a great resource for all Singaporean bagaholics.
I'll like to make a small contribution by recommending the YSL Muse. I have a medium chocolate that's been through MRT battles and tropical rain for a year and a half by my side. It's now slouchy and attained a rich patina, the hardware is still ding-free and it holds tons (4 library paperbacks) at a reasonable weight. It's one of the few bags that work on tiny ol' me.
Thanks again, bagaholicboy. I'll be reading you.

The designs might be too "busy" but this ad campaign sure is pretty. I like!

I think these bags are good for editorials and ads. In real life, not a lot of women will resonate with all the excessive details. And they dun come cheap, who would want to pay huge $$$ for a bag that goes out of season in 6 months time and matches only the bohemian look.
I agree, good to look at but not practical.:-)
isn't it too soon to be reviving the boho look again?
