Fall-Winter 2009 Womens Proenza Schouler

I don't know what it is called, or how much it costs, or even where this leather clutch from the Fall-Winter 2009 Womens Proenza Schouler collection is sold. But I do know this.

I want.

Updated Yet Again - Sony Vaio W

This post is way overdue, but hey, better late than never right? I originally wanted to do it after I came back from Europe, but one thing led to another which led to another and before you know it, it was already November.

So where do I start? Well, way back in August before my life-changing trip to Europe the PR guys that rep Sony contacted me to ask if I wanted to take part in the 'Make Me The W Ambassador' competiton. And to make sure I said yes, they even agreed to loan me the trial set all the way to Europe even if I lost eventually. And so it started, I canvassed madly for votes on Facebook (guys, thank you again so much for all your support), did various posts and even made a video.

When I flew off to Europe the competition was still on-going, which meant waking up at 6 am in the morning just to check on the latest vote count. To cut a long story short; I won. Out of the 6 of us in the running, 2 of us won a Sony Vaio W each. And when I got back, Sony switched my trial set for a spanking new one, and this time I picked the one in Cocao Brown (my trial set was Sugar White, nice, but not very practical).

Looking back, it was indispensable especially when I was travelling. I took it to London, to Bath, to Paris and even to Hong Kong recently. It's also great when I need to have meetings or work discussions outside the office, especially when I can access free Wi-Fi. Seriously lightweight, surfing (and blogging) on it is a breeze and I never had the technical issues with it once to date (touch wood). And while I am pretty sure it is not the cheapest notebook out there, it certainly deserves its SGD899 price tag.

Oh, there is one more thing before I sign off. I did say that if I won the Sony Vaio W, there will be another giveaway all the way from Paris to thank all those who voted for me. Well guys, it's on. I picked up 2 bags from Longchamp (one for a girl, the other for guy which I paid for myself) and asked Sony for a full list of those who voted. Stay tuned on how to win!

And if you are wondering which Longchamp bag I am giving away, here's a clue. One of them has the Eiffel Tower on it.

Coach Jewel Leather Medium Skinny

What's gorgeous, really bling, comes in leather, is extremely affordable and makes the perfect Christmas gift for those on a budget?

Why, the Coach Jewel Leather Medium Skinny of course, which caught my eye when I was waiting to board my flight back to Singapore at the Hong Kong International Airport. Available in Violet, Gold and Raspberry (not shown), they cost only SGD95 a pop here so there is really no excuse not to.

Bagaholicboy News #121 - Burberry Launches Art Of The Trench

It had to happen eventually. Tapping into the social networking that is all the rage these days, Burberry has launched a new digital platform named 'Art Of The Trench'. Building a living testament to the trench coat, site users can also submit their own portraits to feature on the site, creating a body of images reflecting personal trench coat styles across the globe.

And to kick it off, Christopher Bailey (yes, I still reminisce about the 287 seconds we had that night) commissioned Scott Schuman to take a selection of images of trench coat wearers from London to San Paulo over the last few months. But short of showing you every single image that is on the site, I will show you just one, which is also one of my personal favourites. Nothing seems to go with anything, but strangely it still manages to come together nicely.

Actually make it two, there is this other image taken by duo Sean and Seng that I like as well. Cute. Check them out for yourself, and you can even 'like' those you well, like. Or comment on them and have the comments appear in your Facebook account as well.

In a word? Ingenious.

Filson Padded Rugged Twill Laptop Bag

A reader has just tipped me off that OutlandUSA is also offering Filson, and better yet, that they do ship internationally. I have been eyeing this for a while now, the Filson Padded Rugged Twill Laptop Bag, which retails for USD270 (before shipping). On the outside, the rugged twill stands up easily against rain, mud and abrasions. On the inside, high density foam is used to protect your laptop. It is also ruggedly handsome, finished off with leather straps and brass pulls.

But if my piggy bank comes out short, I'll settle for the Filson Rugged Twill Tote Bag instead, which retails for only USD89.55. Besides Otter Green (shown above) it also comes in Tan, and the long leather shoulder straps are a boon for those who prefer more distance between their shoulders and the bag. And if you like your totes with a top zipper, check out the Filson Rugged Twill Tote Bag With Zipper at just USD116.55.

Makes a great Christmas gift too don't you think?

Holiday 2009 Womens/Mens Loewe

Loewe celebrates the holidays with window displays and decorations designed by artist Rachel Thomas, who took inspiration from traditional children's pop-up books. Using only black paper because it suggests a feeling of sensuality and luxury that Loewe embodies, it is topped off with metallic silver details to provide contrast. It does provide a stunning background for Loewe's purses, wallets and SLGs doesn't it?

One of the two large-scale scenes include 'Winter Wonderland', filled with snow-capped mountains, a carousel and a prancing reindeer which I am so going to steal.

And the other scene? 'Ice Skating', which depicts a frozen pond and paper ice skating boots specially created for window displays targetted at men. In Singapore, expect these lovely cut-outs displays to start appearing at Ngee Ann City and Isetan Scotts soon.
